A few years back, the trend for smartphones is that the smaller the device, the better. But ever since we discovered that we can do so much more on them than just text and call, then we didn’t mind anymore if we had a larger screen, as long as we could play games, watch videos, work on documents, etc. One of LG’s new smartphones in the X series counts on that desire for a bigger screen as you get to “view better, wider” on the LG X max.
The smartphone was announced a few weeks ago, together with the other devices in the line, which includes the X power, X style, and X mach. But now LG has released the official 36-second product video for the X max, and of course the highlight is its 5.5-inch display and how the big but light device will make things like watching videos more enjoyable. The video just showed several scenes where things are “magnified” and that makes things better.
Aside from its display size, some of the specs (although the complete details have not been released yet) point to a mid-tier smartphone. It will run on an octa core processor and is already on the Android 6.0 Marshmallow platform. It has a 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded to 256GB though a microSD card. The screen size and its IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen and the 1080 x 1920 pixels is still its biggest selling point.
There is still no news yet on pricing and availability of all the devices. But since they released an official product video, that may mean that an announcement is imminent.
