Lenovo recently announced a few new Android tablets, and it looks like they may soon announce another item in the IdeaPad family of devices. Except this time around, it doesn’t appear this will be a standard tablet. The device is the IdeaPad A10 and it appears to be a convertible notebook. Yes, an Android notebook. While we wait for an official announcement, there has been some sightings.

The IdeaPad A10 has been spotted on the Lenovo website — in the form of a service manual and user manual. There has also been a product listing spotted on the German language Amazon site. The listing has the IdeaPad A10 priced at EUR 249 (including VAT) and with mention of how it usually ships in 1 to 4 months. Simply put, signs are pointing towards an announcement coming sooner rather than later.

Specs for the notebook include a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1366 x 768 and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. And as many will notice in the images, there is what appears to be a rather large bezel around that display. The IdeaPad A10 will be powered by a 1.6GHz Rockchip RK3188 processor with either 1GB or 2GB of RAM and options for 16GB or 32GB of storage space. There will also be a microSD card slot for additional storage.

Remaining specs look to include a pair of USB 2.0 ports, microUSB, stereo speakers, headphone jack, microphone, Bluetooth, WiFi and HDMI. The user manual also lists the notebook as having a SIM card slot. Along with the standard set of keys on the keyboard, there are also more than a handful of function keys listed for everything from volume control, to brightness, to shortcuts, search, screenshots and more.

Anyway, if you had been hoping to get a notebook like device running Android — it looks like Lenovo will soon have you covered. Aside from the Amazon Germany listing, we have yet to see which markets the IdeaPad A10 was expected to arrive in. But with that in mind, the service and user manuals are both written in english so that may point towards a US release.
