Yesterday Google shocked many of us by dropping the price on the already affordable LG Nexus 4 smartphone by $100. Now you can get that impressive 4.7-inch quad-core powered Android 4.3 Jelly Bean flavored smartphone for only $200, or $249 off-contract. It’s a stunning deal, and now they’ll even give you a refund if you bought the device within the past few weeks.

If you bought the LG Nexus 4 from Google Play sometime over the past few weeks, you were probably extremely irritated to see it dropped $100 overnight. In a good gesture Google has reminded everyone that they offer “price protection” and will refund that $100 difference for those who meet the requirements.

We know some of you won’t hit the time frame, and will still be upset, but that’s how it goes with smartphones and electronics. Bigger, faster, better ones come along and prices drop. For a refresh on Google’s policy click here to see their price protection. Basically, you have 15 days of protection from the purchase date. So that means if you ordered a Nexus 4 on or after August 12th, you quality for price protection.

Google confirms that in order to get a refund for the price difference you’ll need to request it within 15 days as well. So if you bought a Nexus 4 last week, you better hurry. You’ll also need to request this refund right from Google themselves, which can be done using the link below.

Hopefully this means an upgraded Nexus 4 or the new Nexus 5 is on the horizon, but lets not get ahead of ourselves.
