Cases with extended batteries are almost a dime a dozen. But this new case for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from ZeroLemon takes the concept to almost insane levels, offering extended life, protection, and a couple more features.

Of course, the most important feature of the ZeroLemon case is its battery, which has a whooping 10,000 mAh capacity. In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3’s battery only clocks at 3,200 mAh, letting the case offer up to three extra lives. Given the smartphone’s spec sheet, that might not be a bad idea. There is a price to pay, however, which comes in the form of bulkiness. But, as they sometimes say in developer circles, this is a feature and not a bug.

Aside from housing ZeroLemon’s patent pending TriCell battery design, the protective case also offers more protection than your regular fancy cover. It boasts of three layers of protection. A double layer hard polycarbonate (PC) inside and a thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) layer outside. It even has a built-in screen protector. And if that hasn’t convinced you that the case means business when it comes to protection, it also has protective tabs for the headphone jack, micro USB port, and even the S Pen slot to prevent dust from entering. But wait, there’s more! Due to the thickness of the case, ZeroLemon has wisely included NFC support into the battery. They also threw in a holster that functions as a kickstand for carrying and viewing convenience.

    • Purchased this case and it performs extraordinary well. NFC has no problems at all, works like with the standard battery and yes, it is quiet heavy but duration even with high performance 3d games is astonishing. Played Gangster Vegas the whole morning without any problem.
