WordTag game now available on Google Play Store

Looking for a new game to play on your Android device? If you love words, you might want to consider WordTag, a new game from developer Juxta Labs. WordTag is quite similar to games like Taboo, except Juxta Labs has put its own unique spin on the word guessing party game.

You still have to describe a word to your friends with a blacklist of words you can’t use in your description, but Juxta Labs has also implemented a 120 character limit. So, your description can’t be any longer than a Tweet, which certainly makes things a whole lot harder. Games like Taboo can already be quite difficult at times, but WordTag will have you thinking fast with the goal of being as succinct as possible.

There’s another twist: while there are six words you can’t use in your description, you can unlock them with keys, which are purchased with coins. Unlocking words will help you out in a tight space, but of course the decision always comes down to whether or not you want to spend your hard-earned tokens on keys to unlock a word knowing that the game only gets harder the more you play. Check out the trailer below to get a better feel of how it plays.

Of course, there are also plenty of badges for you to earn as you level up, and you can create a WordTag account using either Facebook or your email address. The game is available now in the Google Play Store in free and premium flavors [download link], so be sure to check it out if you’re a fan of games like Taboo or Draw Something. Are you going to give WordTag a spin?
