For a game to be in development since 2013, it must mean that the developers took a whole lot of time figuring the game out and making sure it’s fit for gaming time. HeroCraft are not slouches as developers, so you could mostly expect a good game out of “Warhammer 40,000: Space Wolf” – the game finally launching via the Google Play Store.

When we first wrote about the game being in beta testing, we weren’t sure what the gameplay would be like. But now we know that it is – you get a game that’s part turn-based strategy, like most games based on the Warhammer 40K play set. But it is also partly a collectible card battle game, which means HeroCraft is trying to ride the rising trend of card battle games out there. Think of it this way – you test out your strategy chops in tactical battles with your small squad, but your weapons and moves are based on the cards in your hand. Interesting, eh?

The narrative will have you in command of the Space Wolves against a traitorous fanatical mob called the Word Bearers, who threaten to put the planet Kanak, Segmentum Obscurus into chaos. Heck, that alone sounds good enough to get your space battle blood boiling.

The game is free to play, with IAPs, so check out the download link below. There’s a full single player campaign that you will enjoy. But the game also has tremendous replay value via the PvP multiplayer mode, with a ranking system that makes the battles tougher and the rewards better as you play. The developers have also made a leaderboard reset every season, so that new players can compete.
