After several teasers, Vivo has finally introduced the new X7 and X7 Plus. These phones are very similar with each other including the Snapdragon 652 processor, 64GB onboard storage, Full HD resolution, Super AMOLED screen, and 4GB RAM. The X7 is the smaller version with a 5.2-inch screen while the Plus variant boasts of a 5.7-inch display.

The entrance of the two only proves that launching in pairs is a big trend. This gives consumers more choices if they think the basic model is not enough. The Vivo X7 and X7 PlUs both are equipped with LED flash, phase detection autofocus, and 16MP selfie cameras but differ in rear cameras. The X7 Plus has a 16MP Sony IMX298 sensor on the rear camera while the X7 only has a 13MP f/2.2 lens.

The Vivo X7 is obviously smaller and heavier than the X7 Plus at 147.3 x 71.8 x 7.2mm and 151 grams. We don’t know the dimensions of the Vivo X7 Plus nor its pricing but it will be out on July 15. Meanwhile, the X7 will be 2,498 Yuan which is about $375 when it’s sold this coming July 7.

Other specs of the new Vivo smartphones include GPS, WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.1,and fingerprint reader. The batteries are also different–3000mAh and 4000mAh. What’s not impressive is that fact that the two are only powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop topped by Funtouch OS 2.5.1.
