Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note III and Galaxy Gear yesterday and while we have already begun seeing confirmation coming from the US carriers, it looks like Verizon is first out with a date. Coming by way of the recently updated teaser page, Big Red will have the phablet and smartwatch available for pre-order beginning at 9AM EST on September 6th. So far Verizon has yet to offer anything in terms of a price or actual release date.

Needless to say, given the pre-orders will begin tomorrow — those details that are still missing will need to be revealed soon enough. The Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear are also expected with US Cellular as well as AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint however we have yet to see any dates or pricing from anyone other than Verizon.

According to Samsung the global release of these devices would begin on September 25. Or in other words, while Verizon will have pre-orders available on September 6th, it should be at least a few weeks (if not longer) before they are actually available for purchase. Samsung also mentioned the US launch of the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear would begin “later this year.” We will make sure to keep you up to date with the latest as other carriers begin releasing details.

The Galaxy Gear will be a second screen for your Galaxy Note 3. And in fact, Samsung is pushing the device as being just that — a Galaxy Note 3 companion. The Note 3 on the other hand seems to have a solid set of specs. To begin with, the device will be launching with Android 4.3 and sporting a 5.7-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. Other goodies include a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera, 3200 mAh battery and storage options up to 64GB. Of course, perhaps one of the bigger highlights of this new-generation Galaxy Note are the S Pen related improvements.

Anyway, while we are waiting for those additional details, make sure to venture down into the timeline below to check-out some of our Samsung related hands-on coverage coming out of IFA.
