Verizon announces FlexView, Brings FiOS TV Content to Android

If you are a Verizon FiOS customer you now have even more entertainment options thanks to Verizon’s new FlexView. This new service will provide on-demand video on Android devices to users who buy or rent its available TV shows and movies.

FlexView Video on Demand is a free application available to DROID 2 and DROID X users with support coming to the Samsung Galaxy Tab and DROID Incredible coming shortly.

Renting pricing will be around $2.99-$4.99 while purchases will range from $9.99-$19.99. Live broadcasts are also in part of Verizon’s plans for the new service.

I love being able to watch movies, VOD and live TV on my Droid. I appreciate that DISH Network did this last year with the VIP 922 receiver and again with the Sling Adapter. I work for DISH and I was quick to take part of this when I found out that I could literally have a TV on my phone. I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!
