For many people living on America’s east coast and in its heartland, today is an exciting day. That’s because Verizon has announced that it is expanding its 4G LTE operations in many locations in both areas. The roll out is hitting the vast majority of these locations today, with Verizon holding off on just a few for a couple more weeks, so some of you will be getting 4G LTE coverage before others do.
As far as today’s expansion is concerned, Verizon has brought 4G LTE coverage to additional locations in Kansas, New York, Missouri, and Ohio. New York and Missouri are getting the lion’s share of Verizon’s attention, with 4G LTE going live in only a few places in Kansas and Ohio.
On top of all of this, Verizon also announced plans to expand 4G LTE to Columbus and Rome, Georgia in the coming weeks. Sorry to say, but if you live in or around those areas, it looks like you’ll have to wait a while longer as those in New York and and Missouri get to enjoy all of the benefits of 4G LTE from here on out.
As 4G LTE grows in popularity (and availability) across the country, so too does the number of 4G LTE devices. Just last week, the HTC DROID Incredible 4G LTE was released unto the masses, and you can catch Android Community’s review of it by following the link in the story timeline below.[via Verizon]
