Most people don’t really care about the phone dialer but those who do will be happy to know that the Truecaller app has been making waves in the mobile industry. The company behind it has just announced that half a billion calls are being made through the app every month. That’s about 500 million of mobile calls from Truecaller that is now used as a default dialer by many users.

The app has been around for months and has received several updates already. Last May, more users were added to the list as TrueCaller was designated as a default app on Cyanogen OS devices and BLU smartphones. More people are using it as their default dialer and looks like more will be added soon as Truecaller recently teamed up with the top Chinese OEM today.

Huawei smartphones will be pre-installed with Truecaller app. The dialer will soon be found on future Huawei phones. The Honor 8 will be first so don’t be surprised if you see Truecaller pre-loaded on your new Huawei Android phone.

Truecaller dialer

Truecaller remains a favorite even after several updates already. The basic features are still there–Caller Availability, Caller ID, and smart call history. Huawei phones that will be released in the following regions will have the dialer as one of the default apps: India, South East Asia, Middle East, North Africa, and America. The Honor 8 is now officially available in Europe but there’s no mention if it will feature the Truecaller.
