Sorry for the picture below but it’s the best we have at the moment. For most, this is a welcome change from all the tablet and slate talk. Toshiba has an Android netbook in the works and it is powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra chipset. This is a 10-inch netbook that was originally going to ship with Windows 7 now it’s going to be preload with Android.

The Toshiba AC100-114 is a 10.1-inch netbook with an HDMI port and NVIDIA’s Tegra T20 GPU. It also has a 16GB SSD, SDHC card reader, Wi-Fi and 512 RAM. Just like in the mobile phone world, tablets are not for everyone, some folks prefer to have a physical keyboard.

This netbook measures in at 26.2 x 18.9 x 1.4-2.1 cm and weighs 0.9kg. It outfitted with a 2,200mAh 3-cell battery that is good for 4-5 hours. That’s a bit low for a portable device so keep your charger handy. This netbook is also capable of 1080p video, there is currently no price or release date set.
