Virtual reality (VR) apps are popping up more frequently now as more and more VR headgear, googles, and equipment become more accessible to consumers worldwide. From the very affordable Google Cardboard project to the new Samsung Gear VR, these VR wearables are allowing more people to enjoy VR-enabled content. One of these new VR apps is “The Wingsuit Experience” created by Mindlight, to feature the amazing imagery of the upcoming new game from Square Enix, Just Cause 3.

The Wingsuit Experience what the developers are claiming as “the world’s first 360-degree in-game, interactive video experience,” which allows users to freely move the camera to rotate the perspective of the game to view the different images of the world below. The app puts you in a wingsuit with Just Cause 3 main character Rico Rodriguez as he flies across his imaginary home island of Medici in the Mediterranean.

“In order to show the world of Just Cause 3 in 360-degrees, in-game, we’ve captured over 10 TB of high resolution data to bring you this experience,” explains Ron Bakker, founder of Mindlight. “This will allow you to immerse yourself in the most explosive sandbox ever made, ahead of the game’s release this December.”

The app will be viewable on a normal phone, but would be best viewed with VR goggles such as Google Cardboard or other brands that are now available out there. The app is free to download, creating awareness ahead of the launch of Just Cause 3 in December.
