An application called The Missing Sync has been offered on several other mobile platforms before and will soon be coming to Android devices. The public preview version of the app is expected next week. The official launch version 1.0 is hoped to hit the market in November.

What the app does is allow Android user’s access to a more robust sync solution than what is offered with the device as it is. The app can synchronize music, contacts, photos, video, files and more. It will allow sync with Outlook, Entourage, Mac address book, iTunes and more.

After the initial launch the developer expects to launch free updates that will add calendar, task, and note synchronization as well. This is the app that many Pre users turned to when Apple killed the ability to synchronize the Pre with iTunes.

  1. This is an expensive ($30) piece of junk. Save your money. It takes multiple attempts to establish the connection (both with Bluetooth and, even worse, WiFi) with the PC and then, it will fail several times before success. In addition, it doesn’t synchronize with the native calendar but only a separate copycat calendar (Fliq Calendar). Don’t expect to get your money back either, even after complaining a lot.
