One of the most embarrassing things that can happen in your digital communications is when you have a post or message that has a typo in it, and you have no way of retrieving it. The Telegram messaging app is now giving you the chance to save face as you can now edit messages you have sent. This is one new feature in their latest update which brings other useful goodies like better mention system, bot attachments and several interface improvements as well.

The most important part of the update of course is that you will now be able to edit the messages you have sent, therefore saving you from embarrassment and also misunderstandings (duck is very much different from dick). Tap and hold on the message that you want to correct and then press edit, and of course, now edit to your heart’s content. Your message will however have a small edited label on it, and so people might speculate why and what you edited.

You can also now mention people in your chat group even if they don’t have username for some reason. Just type @ and then put the name of the person you want to talk about or who you want to pay attention to your message. You can also now search for people you’re chatting with so you can get to that conversation faster. The bots that you use often are now easier to find as they can now be found in the attachment menu. But only those you’ve used more than once will be there and the more you use said bots, the higher they will be on the list.

Lastly, there has also been some improvements on the app’s interface, like the addition of quick share buttons so you can forward messages from bots, channels, and groups. Your notifications for messages that have stickers will also now show you the relevant emoji so you’ll have some idea of the tone of the message in just one glance. The update should be rolling out to Telegram users right about now.
