Motorola DROID XYBOARDs 8.2 and 10.1 get Ice Cream Sandwich updates

It's been a while since we've discussed the Motorola DROID XYBOARD here on Android Community, but today it's making headlines thanks to its shiny new Ice Cream Sandwich update. Motorola has announced that it's pushing Ice Cream Sandwich updates for both the DROID XYBOARD 8.2 and 10.1, so if you haven't moved on to a different kind of tablet yet, you're in for a treat. It isn't quite the squishy, colorful candy treat that many would prefer, but delicious ice cream is almost just as good.

Its been some time since Verizon launched the Motorola DROID XYBOARD, and those that love to mod their devices have had to conform to using the included stock Honeycomb ROM. That's all about to change thanks to developer Dan Rosenberg! The bootloader is still locked down, but root access is now available.

We just got our hands on one of the latest tablets from team Motorola and Verizon this afternoon, the Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2" 4G LTE tablet. Other than the bizarre name you'll quickly notice a few unique things about this slate out of the box. A perfectly sized 8.2" IPS display and some of that Moto Blur UI over Honeycomb to name a few. We have our hands-on video and a few photos below for your enjoyment.
