Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Due for Release on January 18th?

After Sony Ericsson gave us a February 10th 2010 launch date for the UK, and then pulled it out, now there's someone else giving us a release date. Play.com has posted on their site a "due for release" date of January 18th 2010 for the XPERIA X10. So, either someone is trying to pull our collective leg, or they know something we don't, the thing is, we already knew the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 was coming on the first quarter of next year. We just didn't have an exact date after Sony Ericsson took the February 10th release date out of the equation. So, will Play.com pull it out later, who knows, but for now, they have the SIM-free/Unlocked device for pre-order on their site for £529.99 ($863), with a January 18th, 2010 release date, as mentioned before. Well, those who want to get this Android-based phone from Sony by Christmas, will have to wait a little longer.

Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 to Arrive on AT&T?

After we had the video demo of this spectacular smartphone, we notice that the registration page had taken out the February 10th launch. Now in its place is this: "Pre-Register - Expected launch: To be announced". That's not good, but at least we get more insight on SE's plans to bring this phone to the "Americas". According to the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 page, there will be an American version of the XPERIA X10. Apparently, this version will work with bands that fit both, AT&T and T-Mobile, and you can see that on the quote below:
Networks GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 UMTS/HSPA 800/850/900/1700/1900/2100
But then, it shows no love for the necessary 1700 band that T-Mobile needs, in order to get 3G, as you can see on the next quote:
Networks UMTS HSPA 800/850/1900 only available for phones sold in Americas (except Brazil) and Australia. UMTS HSPA 900/1700 not available for phones sold in Americas. UMTS HSPA 1900/2100 available worldwide.
Now don't get too excited if you have AT&T and want to get this Android phone, remember that SE is saying the Americas. So for all we know, this XPERIA X10 might be getting ready to land up north in Canada, or down south in Mexico, and not necessarily in the good old US of A.

Another Video Demo for the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Working its Magic

As if one post on the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 isn't enough for one day, we bring another one, this time, for your viewing pleasure. And lets be honest, neither one of us can't get enough of this Android-powered smartphone. So lets get on with it. By now most, if not all of you already know that the SE XPERIA X10 will be available in the UK right around Valentine's day. So there will be a lot people falling in love with, or over this new Android phone on February. When Chris had a hands-on with this SE phone in London, the speed was not up to par with a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. But this time, as you will be able to notice on the video below from HDblog, who apparently had access to a newer prototype, the speed has been drastically improved. The company’s homegrown apps; Timescape and Mediascape now run snappier. But I don't want to bother you with more of this, so just go on and enjoy the video below. Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 to Launch on February 10th 2010 in the UK

Who doesn't remember the beautiful XPERIA X10 with its 4-inch capacitive touchscreen running at WVGA 480 x 854 resolution? If you say you don't, you lie! Last time Chris over at SlashGear was with Sony Ericsson in London and had a good look at this new device from SE. Heck! He even brought some hands-on demo video. This time is Sony Ericsson UK who are telling the world to expect the Xperia X10 by February 10th, 2010. That's just in time so you can give - or get - an early Valentine’s Day gift. Personally, I love to get this upcoming Android phone from SE as a gift, rather then give it. And please do not tell me you don't feel the same way. The only downside to this gift, is that it doesn't have a US release date just yet. At least the folks across the pond will have some fun with this Sony Ericsson device and its fast 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset in a couple of months. If you live on or close to the UK, and want to get this Android phone from SE called the Xperia x10, well, you can pre-register for more info on this new device here. Sony Ericsson Android-powered XPERIA called “Rachael”

Website called mobile.nu discovered what appears to be "internal documents" on what looks to be Sony Ericsson's forthcoming Android-powered phone, an XPERIA codenamed Rachael. Rachael is rumored to sport a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, HSPA & 8MPcamera. The screen size is uknown - but looks like it could be anywhere from 3.5 to 4.1-inch and yes there's a there is a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Rachael looks like it's an all-touch device without a physical QWERTY-keyboard.
