Motorola XOOM Street Egg Ad Released

Holy crap this commercial is short and sweet. You know that Android 3.0 Honeycomb tablet that's about to come out to the world officially this Thursday? The one we've had our hands on a couple times, a couple different versions over the past few weeks, the one that Google worked directly with Motorola to optimize as a flagship tablet for their tablet-centric mobile OS? Well check it out, there's an official advertisement out for it now, and it's 16 seconds long. Insane.

Motorola XOOM [Silver Euro Edition] [Hands On and Demo]

We're at Mobile World Congress 2011 at the Motorola presentation and we've been given a very basic rundown of some of the features you'll see with the out-of-box build of Motorola XOOM's user interface. This tablet is of course the one Google worked most closely with as far as Android 3.0 Honeycomb goes, so what you see will for the most part be the most pure version of everything Honeycomb has to offer. NOTE: the tablet this presenter is showing us has clearly been on display for a couple of days, as the screens are filled with videos, widgets, and a ton of instances of the same Honeycomb clock. Very messy!

Motorola Xoom heads to Europe

Motorola has announced at MWC 2011 that the Xoom tablet that has been anticipated in the US will be heading to Europe as well. The tablet will hit Europe starting in Q2 2011 and will run Android 3.0 Honeycomb. The tablet was first spied at CES 2011. The Xoom is packed with features that should add up to a very powerful tablet.

Motorola XOOM to be $800 tips Best Buy advert; due February 24

Motorola's XOOM Superbowl advert is already prompting arguments about whether the whole thing was all too iPod-esque, but we'd wager not as many arguments as leaked pricing details for the Android 3.0 Honeycomb slate. According to a Best Buy advert passed to Engadget - which suggests the XOOM will land in-store on February 24 - the 10.1-inch tablet will be all of $799.99 with a month-to-month data agreement. Four data plans are offered by Verizon, ranging from 1GB per month for $20, through 3GB and 5GB for $35 and $50 respectively, and finally 10GB for $80. According to the fine print, "To activate WiFi functionality on this device, a minimum of one month data subscription is required."

Motorola XOOM Superbowl Commercial Shows Love and De-Podding

Remember the 15 second preview for the Motorola XOOM / Android 3.0 Honeycomb commercial we showed you a couple days ago? Now we've got the whole thing. It's just been shown during a break in the Superbowl, depicting what we already know, an array of Podlings walking to a train, an outsider amongst them wielding a Motorola XOOM tablet. What happens after that is where it gets weird.

Angry Birds Valentines Expansion Called “Hogs and Kisses”

If you're a fan of Angry Birds, and you know we are when we're not feeling cynical, you're pretty pumped up about the oncoming expansion to be released on Valentine's Day. Very little has been known about this project, which up until this moment has been called "Pink." What we know now, thanks to out best buddy Ina Fried, is that this Angry Birds expansion is called "Hogs and Kisses," comes in HD for iPad (and hopefully something similar for Honeycomb,) as well as its standard Android and iPhone/iPod Touch versions, and apparently it'll be out sooner than expected - next week soon!
