Xiaomi MiPad arrives powered by NVIDIA’s Tegra K1

Xiaomi has recently unveiled its first tablet, which also happens to be the first introduced with the NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor. The tablet is the MiPad and it is running Android 4.4 (with the MIUI user interface) and sporting looks similar to the iPad mini. The tablet is fairly low priced, however it doesn't appear as if there will be a widespread global release.

Xiaomi has been on a bit of a tear lately, introducing themselves to the world stage via various product teasers. Their latest has us guessing once again, with the company posting a very intriguing picture to Chinese blogging site Weibo. In the pic, we see something oddly familiar, but nothing that we can identify as Xiaomi’s.

Hugo Barra, coming by way of his Google+ page, recently reached out to Xiaomi users looking for help in naming and a new product. Barra referred to this as a clever little gadget, and included some potential name ideas of Mi Button and Mi Key. More to the point here, this clever little gadget turns your headphone jack into a clickable button.
