YAAM Android Market Promises Developers 100% Profit Share

Perhaps you're aware of the current oddity happening inside the Android environment as far as app stores go? No? Lemme explain real quick. First, there's the Android Marketplace. This is the market that you see on most Android-based phones you'll be purchasing from USA-based mobile carriers. Manufacturers must go through a process to get Google Approved to be able to have this market on their device. Then there's alternate markets, the most notable one of late being the Amazon App Store. No market, until now, has been able to give the developers of the apps 100% of the profit earned via the sales of apps - YAAM fills that gap.

HTC Concept Phone called the New Eden

Today I have a little treat for you all to cap off the day. This is a beautiful and extremely well designed concept phone from an XDA member by the name of Jason Wang. He is not one of the very well known concept designers but I have a feeling after everyone starts to see this latest creation he will be. This is about as clean and elegant as a phone could come.

Motorola Xoom Root the Easy way with 1-Click-Root and overclock [Guide]

The Motorola Xoom, I love it. I seriously have not powered on my Google CR-48 Netbook since I got my Xoom. It's just that fun. What better way to get more from your Android device then rooting it. Once you root the possibilities open up for much more things, and uses. Today I will be posting a guide for easy root. Yes this is 1-Click-Root for the Motorola Xoom. Now some might say this takes more than 1 click, and it does, but this sure beats having to very carefully and slowly enter multiple adb commands into your computer and hope you don't mess up.

HTC Thunderbolt gets rooted with a click

The rootability of the HTC Thunderbolt continues to reveal more gems as as XDA Moderator CaptainKrtek, with support from NetForce-TX, has created a one click method which, after testing, is pretty easy to apply. The method is a Windows batch file which runs the user through the complete process and ends with a rooted Thunderbolt ready to play with. CaptainKrtek suggests users still give the thread a good solid read just in case anything goes wrong, but he's confident that, thanks to NetForce-TX's testing, that the batch file is sound and works as advertised.

Android 3.0 Honeycomb gets a Screenshot App

For those that use these kind of apps or have been around lately to notice that we didn't have one. The Motorola Xoom and any Android 3.0 Honeycomb device in general could not take screenshots with an app. There is drocap2, ShootMe and many other screen capture apps for our Android phones and apparently none of them worked on Android 3.0 but now a developer from the XDA forums named ftgg99 has fixed this issue for us. He has developed an app called Screenshot ER.

So everyone has started to get their new and awesome HTC Thunderbolts over the last week or so. I'm sure you all love it. ViewSonic G-Tablet Dual Core Android Tab is $279 at woot.com today only

Look what I just found, how exciting. This is the Vewisonic G-Tablet. it is an Android 2.2 tablet with a 10.1" LCD Display, front facing camera, and the highly popular Dual Core Tegra 2 Processor inside. It is extremely fast and runs very well. It has some custom user interface over android that is pretty crappy, but over at XDA there is tons and tons of development for this. It was the first Tegra 2 tablet released. This is a screaming deal for someone in need of a cheap tablet that isn't a china knockoff. For sale now at woot.com

HTC ThunderBolt Perm Rooted

So we had a little look over at the XDA Forums at the root of the ThunderBolt before it was released, and yes, that is always impressive. But it wasn't permanent! What we love to see is that permanence, the real test of weather the phone is really rooted or just wearing a Halloween mask. Well let me tell you what's happened essentially overnight - perm root. Indeedy yes, it was user jcase who let the world know that with the first step being a showing on the 16th, the 17th at nearly midnight the real test was accomplished.
