Honeycomb Theme for CM7 gets you as close to Honeycomb as possible

Even though Android 3.0 Honeycomb was just released recently, and is a Tablet based OS. It hasn't stopped many of the developers at XDA from porting it to just about as many devices as possible. Here's just a few, Honeycomb port for Nexus One, or the HTC Desire Port, even the all popular EVO got a Honeycomb Port. For some wiping out all of their data and flashing a completely new ROM that may, or may not be fully functioning is out of the question. Luckily for you I have the easiest way to get some Honeycomb. (for CM7 users that is)

Honeycomb Ported to HTC Wildfire, Magic, and G1

It seems like everyone is getting a taste of Honeycomb today, this lovely OS meant for tablets now getting ported to oddities everywhere from here to the Magic. Of course you might know the magic better as the myTouch 3G, but you'll soon be seeing it as unidentifiable as a handset with the vastness of Honeycomb busting out its belt. Of course all of these ports are incomplete, but that wont stop an industrious man or lady like you, right?

Xoom overclocked at XDA

A true constant in the gadget universe is that if a new Android device comes out, you can bet someone over at XDA forums is going to throw caution to the wind and push the edge of the envelop to see what it can do. And the Motorola Xoom is no exception. XDA forum member Coolbho3000 has reported he he overclocked the Xoom up to a max of 1.5 GHz. According to the post at XDA Forums, CoolBho3000 was able to safely get past the Xoom's max setting of 1Ghz using SetCPU, a utility he wrote to help users boost the power output of their devices.

Atrix bootloader gets locked down, no custom ROMs

The back and forth between Motorola and XDA Developers has undergone a new chapter as the bootloader for the Atrix 4G phone has been locked down to prevent any installation of custom ROMs. That means that for now, there's no way to remove MotoBlur, or add any custom work to the phone. When it comes to adding custom ROMS Angry users already know the score target="_blank" via Twitter: "@tdcrooks if you want to do custom roms, then buy elsewhere, we’ll continue with our strategy that is working thanks."

ZDbox All-in-One Android Toolbox for Complete Non-Root Control [Mini-Review]

Although we're obviously very much into hacking and the inside control of your device via the breaking apart of the systems set in place by the powers of the manufacturers and the carriers, sometimes it's nice to see an app that'll do all sorts of useful stuff for everyone, not just those with a working knowledge of how to break down and build up a phone from scrap. What the following app does is offer you an entire toolbox of functionality all in one place, from traffic info to app lock to do not disturb and more!

Of course, this version of Froyo hasn't come from Motorola, it's come from an XDA hacker by the name of Dexter_nib, a ROM for you all to get your tasty treats on.

NOOKcolor Receives Android 3.0 Honeycomb

Ever since we first laid eyes upon NOOKcolor, we knew it'd perform well for the world - once it was rooted, of course. That was a few weeks ago. A couple days ago, an SDK of Android 3.0 Honeycomb was released. Today Honeycomb has been ported to NOOKcolor. What a wonderful system we've got here.
