They say imitation is the best form of flattery, this doesn’t fall under that motto. It’s an utter disgrace to see such a vile piece of electronic garbage. Well, maybe it’s not that bad but it is a waste of electronic hardware. A company in China has just made a Motorola Droid clone that runs Windows mobile.
Since we first laid eyes on this innovative tablet at CES, we’ve always wondered what it would be like if Android was running on such a device. Well, our dreams have come true, Lenovo has opted out of using their own custom version of Linux in favor of Android. They also have pushed back the release most likely in preparation for an Android loaded Skylight and UI Hybrid.
Everyone is jumping on the Android bandwagon as of late. And that’s great news for us, we will get a bunch of new different devices from almost every sector of the tech world. The Cherrypal Asia will be a $99 android laptop. It will ship with Android 1.6 and will feature a 7inch screen. There will also be an option to upgrade to a wide screen 10.1 inch version.

For a small fee of $2.99 you can purchase either of these and turn your Android device into an iPod (but better). There is also a lite version of both apps but they are limited to only one playlist amount other restrictions. This offering from Dell is a bit toned down from the recent leaks but is still a great device. The Dell Aero will be released for AT&T sometime in the second quarter. It has a 624 MHZ processor and a few other tricks up its sleeve.
The browser options for Android just are growing all the time. If you don’t like the stock browser or just want a change of pace, hit the market and replace the browser (unlike other unnamed OSX’s). Now you can beta test the upcoming Skyfire browser. The XDA has gotten a hold of this app and has shared it with the rest of us.
Skyfire is perhaps the best browser available for Windows Mobile devices. It’s my default browser on the HD2. This browser is fast, stable and has Flash support. Soon we will be able to enjoy this awesome browser on our Android handsets.
DoubleTwist has been the most popular way to sync all your media to your Android device for a while now. It even comes preloaded on a few devices these days. The latest update to the Mac version now allows you to browse apps, find the qr code, displays screenshots of the app and the recent reviews. The update for the PC client is on the way.

The Mobinova Beam is an 8.9 inch smartbook that uses NVIDIA’s Tegra platform to deliver HD graphics while using little power to do so. It’s rumored to have the ability to play over 16 hours of video. Windows CE was the featured OS choice in the past but Mobinova chose to go with Android instead because of it's large selection of apps.
