Samsung Epic 4G for Sprint Launching August 31st for $249.99

After plenty of speculation, and plenty of rumors swirled around, it turns out that that August 11th rumor was actually accurate. And, we were cutting it pretty close, at least on the West coat. (It is technically the 12th over there on the right side of the US, after all.) But, sure enough, Samsung have officially announced the Samsung Epic 4G's availability date, and have gone ahead and done one better: told us the price, too.

Samsung Epic 4G and HTC EVO 4G Compared by Sprint [video]

When the Samsung Epic 4G was announced, despite the fact it had plenty of the same features seen on other Samsung Galaxy S devices, one of the stand-out features was that ability to connect to Sprint's 4G WiMAX network. Sure, the EVO 4G was the first device to do it, but it couldn't stay in the limelight forever. Now that the Epic 4G is close to a release date (we assume), here's Sprint to show you why you'd want to take a look at the Epic, versus the EVO.

HTC Droid Incredible and EVO 4G Source Codes Released by HTC

Over the last couple of weeks, other major manufacturers released the source code for some of their devices, too. Both Motorola and Samsung released the code for the Droid X and Galaxy S devices, respectively. Which will make plenty of developers out there happy. This time around, HTC have pulled the curtain off the source code for two of their most high-profile devices.

Samsung Epic 4G Set to Launch August 21st?

We're not sure when it happened, but some how the Samsung Epic 4G has managed to gotten itself caught up in some wild accusations regarding its release date. For the most part, and especially compared to other devices, the rumor mill consisting of the banter about its suspected release date has been pretty quiet. But, as we inch closer to that August 11th announcement date (without so much of a peep from the third largest wireless carrier in the States), we're beginning to assume that maybe that date isn't right.

Sprint and Warner Brothers Entertainment Giving Away 10 Samsung Epic 4G Devices

It may not be the easiest way to get a device, but it may be one of the funnest. Like most of Sprint's high-profile handset releases, they're doing what they can to make sure that a few lucky folks out there in Sprintland get their very own, without doing much at all in the way of work, or, paying. This time around they're working with Warner Brothers Entertainment, and they're handing out 10 Samsung Epic 4Gs.

Samsung Epic 4G Set to Launch August 11th?

Thanks to a trusted tipster to Boy Genius Report, it looks like we may finally have a release date for the Samsung Epic 4G. That may sound familiar: it's the Samsung Galaxy S variant that's heading to Sprint. Though, the Epic is definitely the more diverse of the Galaxy S devices out there, and probably most noteworthy is the fact that it's going to have that 4G connectivity that Sprint talks so highly about.

Sprint Unleashing Samsung Epic 4G News Soon?

The Samsung Fascinate for Verizon just broke cover, and now we are hearing that Sprint is getting ready to announce something involving their own Samsung Galaxy S variant, the Epic 4G. Of all the Galaxy S models that made it State-side, the Epic 4G is definitely the most unique, from both the physical aesthetics, to the fact that it will be rocking on Sprint's 4G WiMAX network.

HTC EVO 4G OTA Update to Android 2.2 Happening Now, Really

Apparently, when Sprint and HTC call a mulligan, they really mean it. And we'll go ahead and say that, in this case, the second time's a charm. As the title suggests, it sounds like a few (or, a lot) of lucky EVO owners out there are getting their own share of the Froyo love. All OTA style and what not.

HTC EVO 4G Android 2.2 Update Details, Download Now

If you have an HTC EVO 4G, then you need to head on over to the Sprint Site, and download yourself some Froyo. That is, unless you're already rooted and using Android 2.2, then you probably don't want to do that. In any event, this post is for everyone who might actually be interested in seeing what the official update has in store for EVO owners.
