We love Android Lollipop, that much is true. But we have to deal with some downsides that come with the good looks and the better performance. For instance, since Lollipop allows you to see notifications on the lockscreen, there is no more space for widgets. That might not be a big deal for you (like us), but for some people who want a pretty personalized and streamlined Android user experience, that might be a bummer. Enter an app called Notifidgets – no prizes for guessing what it is.

Notifications should be plain and simple but there’s no stopping developers from improving on them. Why should notifications be boring when you can have fun with them? This NotifWidget is a new app that let’s you interact with notifications right on the lock screen, DayDream screen saver, or home screen. There is absolutely no shortage of apps on the Google Play Store that will deliver a clock or weather widget. They're extremely popular, and a new one appears on the daily. Recently I've switched my attention to having a minimalistic look and feel on my homescreen. Just a few needed apps and a beautiful analog clock. And Minimal Clock was just what we were looking for.
