SlashGear gets their Hands On the Wall Street Journal App for Android Tablets (on the Samsung Galaxy Tab)

As I'm sure you're already aware, the Wall Street Journal has released an app in the Android Market. We've got our hands on it, and Chris Davies is on the case. He's taking a peek at the app using the lovely Samsung Galaxy Tab, one of the large-screen devices this app is made to fit. This app is free to download with limited access upon basic registration, or for full access to everything WSJ has to offer, it's $3.99 per week.

With the majority of the big news outlets already on the Android devices, but the Wall Street Journal happened to be missing from the group. Well it has now come to the Android platform in the form of the Galaxy Tab. Looks like they were waiting for a worthy device to carry their digital newspaper, and the Galaxy Tab has been given the honor of the app.

Verizon and Google Working On An Android Tablet?

Usually I would call something like this a rumor but this has been confirmed by the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg who spoke with two different executives and they both pretty much said the same thing. Google and Verizon are working together to bring an Android tablet to the market. I fully expect this to make a debut at this year’s Google I/O.
