Although it has been a while since the Lotus Notes creator stepped away from his post in Microsoft, Ray Ozzie hasn't completely retired from software scene just yet. Co-founding a startup, Ozzie and company have now released their app Talko which isn't as much a revolution as it is a going back to the roots of communication.

Amazon Fire TV promo features Gary Busey…talking

Fresh off the Fire TV announcement from earlier this morning, it looks like the first promo video has arrived. This one clocks in at a minute in length and features Gary Busey. More to the point here, the focus of this promo is voice, and well, it has Gary Busey talking to a bunch of household items before finally getting to the Fire TV.

OnePlus One to feature Moto X style voice wake up

OnePlus has been rolling out bits and pieces in regards to the One smartphone. We have yet to see an official image of the handset, however the specs are adding up. Chromebook ‘OK Google’ voice commands take shape

Android 4.4 Kit Kat added some functionality for the 'OK Google' voice command. Basically, you can now use the command without having to tap the microphone icon. Of course, those using a Moto X have it sightly better thanks to Touchless Controls. But while things are improving on the mobile side, it looks like this setup is also starting to take shape for those with a Chromebook.

Google Search “My Answers” update brings flights, reservations and more

Google has detailed the latest search related update. This one deals with the "My Answers" portion of search and basically means you will be able to ask questions about additional topics. Some of these will likely be familiar to Google Now users, but with that in mind, moving forward My Answers will be able to support flight, reservation, purchase, plan and image related questions.

Amazon smartphone rumors fire up with reports of Siri-like app purchase

We've heard our fair share of reports and rumors suggesting the folks from Amazon are planning a smartphone, but they float around for a few days then fade away. After reports in January of Amazon buying IVONA, a speech recognition company, we are back today with something similar. Reports have surfaced claiming Amazon just purchased the popular Siri-like app and company EVI for roughly $26 million.
