Google extends free Gmail calls through 2013
One of the more interesting features of Gmail, as many of you already know, it that it lets you make voice calls in addition to just sending off emails. Google allows free domestic calls within the US and Canada, which is a major bonus, but today it announced that the free calls won't be ending anytime soon. Google has revealed that it will extend free domestic calling for the US and Canada through 2013.

Sony Xperia T is HD Voice certified, has been all along
Sony issued a blog post reminding everyone that the Xperia T is HD voice certified. Apparently, this feature was not listed on Sony's product page for the device originally, so people kind of forgot that it was a feature of the device. It has since been added to the Xperia T's page on Sony's site.

Google granted creepy eavesdropping patent for keyword-based ads
Google is watching you. So is everyone else, of course, and it's not like Google is trying to hide the fact - their controversial new privacy policy was plastered over every single web service for the better part of a month. But the USPTO has just granted them a patent on a piece of technology that actually listens to you - and I don't mean in the helpful Voice Actions sort of way. United States Patent 8,138,930 lays the groundwork for a system that actually listens for keywords in phone conversations and stores the triggers in a database, to serve contextual advertisements later.

Google+ Circles now available on Google Voice
Are you one of those strange, old-fashioned folks who talks to people on the phone? Actually moving your lips and everything? Wow, you're old. Well, now you can combine your stone-age analog air vibrations with super-advanced modern social networking all the kids are talking texting about. Starting today your Google+ Circles are available in Google Voice, too, allowing you to define what action Google Voice takes when one of your contacts calls. To be blunt, it makes it a lot easier to send that friends who's just a little too persistent straight to voicemail.

Those in the Android tablet market might be interested in the Dell Streak 7 tablet. The tablet is on T-Mobile for about $200 and is an interesting offering. I would bet that there are some users that would be more inclined to try the Streak 7 if the thing could do voice calls.
