In a statement that may has well have been "Android hackers need not buy," Virgin says they are whole-heartedly against rooting, and that it violates their terms of services.
Motorola Triumph coming to Virgin Mobile this summer. This is the first Motorola device offered by Virgin Mobile and they look to be pushing for more high end phones on their pre-paid network with the launch of this phone. Did I mention it runs stock Android 2.2 Froyo with no Moto Blur.
LG Optimus U. This is essentially the same piece of hardware with a slightly different set of apps, costing a different price and having a different carrier. Comparing the two would be an exercise in futility because this isn't the sort of phone you decide on first, then figure out what carrier you want later. Virgin Mobile has announced that it has added a new app to the Android Market for Android users to check out. The app is a live music offering that streams music for fans to enjoy. The app is called Virgin Mobile Live 2.0.
LG Optimus U, it'll be a nice little phone that zips around fast as you'd expect a phone in this price range to do so. More than likely this phone will end up being free on contract sooner than later.
