Samsung stress test video may relieve Galaxy S 4 owners stress

It's a common thing for your phone to just slip out of your hands, get knocked out, fall backwards out of your pocket, fall of your desk, etc etc. It happens to everyone, and no one can escape the fact that some phones just are not made for that sort of thing. Enter Samsung, with this video showing just how much physical abuse they put onto their products before letting them out into consumer hands, and you may just feel some mental relief.

iOS 7 “parallax effect” on Android: 3D Image Live Wallpaper available now

During the Apple keynote yesterday we saw a lot of interesting and exciting new things with iOS 7, many of which have been available on Android for some time, but we won't get into that now. The most impressive new feature and UI aspect (for me) was this "liveliness" 3D wallpaper doing the parallax effect. Showing the background image move as you tilt the device. Thanks to an eagle-eyed reader we've learned this is nothing new for Android. Check out our hands-on below of what surely is my favorite new app.

Google I/O 2013 summed up in 5 minute highlight video

We know Google I/O is one of those coveted experiences and developer conferences that tons of you want to enjoy. Whether you're a fan or developer of Android, Chrome, YouTube, and more. They were nice enough to live stream the sessions, and now have posted their annual round-up highlight video.

Samsung surely isn't showing any signs of slowing down with their advertising campaigns. In fact, they're only going to increase now that all major US carriers and more are offering their latest flagship GALAXY S 4 smartphone. Instead of poking fun at the iPhone we're seeing Samsung's sensitive side in this latest ad spot. Check it out after the break.

Vine for Android is down: it’s not just you

After a rather long wait and several coming soon style promises, Vine has been officially announced for Android. We saw the announcement a bit earlier this morning, but it looks like the launch is not going quite as well as one could have hoped. The app hadn't yet begun showing in the Play Store when the earlier announcement hit and while that has since changed, there are still some issues.

Vine for Android launches with the basics and promise of frequent updates

We have seen a few coming soon style teasers in terms of Vine for Android and as of today there is a bit of good news for anyone that may have been waiting. Vine for Android has been officially announced and the app will be available from the Play Store today. Similar to Vine for iOS, Android users will be able to create those 6-second looping videos. Of course, the Vine app will also allow you to share those videos as well as watch those from other users.

Did Google just show us the new Nexus 7?

Today Google shared some news and details about their ever expanding Street View project. Taking their cameras and eye-level views through parts of New York City that most might never be able to visit. Things like Central Park and the 9/11 Memorial. While we don't want to take anything away from them for that, we did notice an interesting device in their video.

LG Nexus 4 in white hands-on and unboxing

After countless leaks and speculation the folks from Google and LG finally made the white LG Nexus 4 official. It's the same Nexus we know and love, with a nice new paint job. After plenty of talk at Google I/O about a white model with Android 4.3 Jelly Bean getting announced we were excited, but it's still just on 4.2.2, for now at least. Read on for more details and a quick unboxing with Google's other baby. That being Google Glass.
