LG decided to take a rather different approach to the standard smartphone design with their new G2. Heading away from the usual look everyone is familiar with and throwing the buttons all on the back. It's daring and bold, and certainly not for everyone. However, we found it quite nice in our LG G2 Review. Today the company is giving us a detailed video and look at what went into designing the phone.

Chromecast local media streaming is coming soon Google insists

This weekend an update rolled out to Google's Chromecast that many users weren't too excited about. After seeing it arrive on Thursday evening, many developers quickly noticed it broke local media streaming. Mainly Koush, as the update killed the feature enabling his Aircast app to function. After many reports of Google tightening their grip on the cast, today they've issued a statement to reassure our minds.

Samsung Galaxy Gear smartwatch concept video teases the future

The past few weeks have been full of rumors surrounding what many expect to see from Samsung in Germany next month for the annual IFA show. From the 5.68-inch Galaxy Note III phablet, to their brand new and first of its kind Galaxy Gear smartwatch. We don't know everything about their new watch yet, but this new conceptual video has us excited about the possibilities.

Vine user base grows to 40 million

Instagram announced they had reached the 130 million monthly user milestone back in June. That reveal came at the same time they announced the 15-second Vine-like videos. That of course spurred discussion about how Instagram was the better app and how they were going to steal users from Vine. Well, while Vine may not have the 130 million that Instagram has, they have just shared a rather respectable number of their own.
