A new LG smartwatch has crossed the FCC to get the certifications it needs to come to market. This version of the G Watch is called the LG-VC100 and is destined for Verizon. Interestingly, this smartwatch will have its own SIM card.
The new Moto X – the spanking new flagship smartphone from Motorola – was one of the most leaked, most hyped devices in the build up to the recent IFA 2014 in Berlin. The very stylish phone is now making its way to Verizon customers, with the mobile carrier saying that the device – along with its familiar customizer the Moto Maker – will be available starting September 26.
The new Moto X may have just gone live, but Verizon subscribers might soon have a few more options to choose from, or to confuse them a wee bit. Leaked photos and specs hint at the coming of another DROID for Verizon, dubbed the DROID Turbo, with a curious mix of specs. Plus another part of the Moto S leaks out, this time the back cover instead of the front.
More good news from Verizon: the 4G LTE versions of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is now available. The Android tablet that boasts of a super high-resolution screen can now be enjoyed with fast mobile Internet from the Big Red, of course, for a price.
It's pre-order week! Along with Motorola and that non-Android fruit company, Samsung is announcing the dates that its fans should be waiting for if they want a Galaxy Note 4. Although the S Pen phablet won't be available until October 17, pre-orders will be starting tomorrow, including major US carriers.
Verizon may have recently launched the official VoLTE and Advanced Calling 1.0 services but the carrier isn’t forgetting Wi-Fi calling. Voice over LTE may be more advanced than Wi-Fi calling but the latter’s introduction will be more convenient for the subscribers.
We’ve been waiting for the VoLTE and Advanced Calling services from Verizon. The new network offering, which was announced in 2013 and detailed last May, is now available for Verizon subscribers to enjoy. However, not every one subscribed to Verizon can enjoy HD calling as the feature requires LTE connectivity. Obviously, only phones with LTE are supported over the VoLTE network.
Fresh from the updraft of market love for its product launches at IFA 2014 – namely the Moto 360 and the new Moto X – a possible new Motorola device is headed towards US carrier Verizon, and could be a beast of a phone. The device was spotted in FCC documents with the code name “Quark” and from initial analysis of the docs could have wireless charging and turbo charging.
It’s the iPhone season once again. Of course, we’re not encouraging you to get one but the arrival of a new Apple phone means mobile carriers are announcing new phone deals. Such offers would also mean new Android phone deals or handset upgrades as companies usually offer.
