LG G2 smartphone. Verizon has said the handset would be available beginning on September 12th and that it will be selling for $199.99 on a two-year agreement. As a comparison, T-Mobile will have the LG G2 available beginning on September 18th.

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note III and Galaxy Gear yesterday and while we have already begun seeing confirmation coming from the US carriers, it looks like Verizon is first out with a date. Coming by way of the recently updated teaser page, Big Red will have the phablet and smartwatch available for pre-order beginning at 9AM EST on September 6th. So far Verizon has yet to offer anything in terms of a price or actual release date.
Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Gear, we are beginning to hear from the US carriers. AT&T issued a short statement and we are now hearing from Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile. Similar to the statement we saw from AT&T, these latest two arrive as little more than teasers.
Verizon was moving forward with plans to expand into Canada. But while that may have been the case last week, it seems that is no longer the plan. The details come by way of Verizon CEO Lowell McAdam who has said rather clearly that "Verizon is not going to Canada."
Verizon Wireless has sealed the deal and bought out the 45% of Vodafone's stake in the company. If you had been paying attention you knew this was in the works, but we can now confirm it is a done deal coming in at roughly $130 billion.

Moto X launched with AT&T on August 23rd and shortly after that there was word about how the release with other carriers would happen "in days." While we have yet to hear from every other carrier, we do have the release date and pricing details from Verizon. And true to the rumors, the Moto X will be available with Verizon Wireless as of August 29th.
Verizon announced the Edge upgrade program back in July and it looks like it has officially arrived. A quick visit to the Verizon Wireless website shows the handsets being listed with the additional pricing. Basically, those browsing will now see a two-year agreement price, full-retail price and the Edge pricing. Perhaps more important though, Verizon has also offered an FAQ answering quite a few questions.
Verizon has had their Share Everything plans available for more than a year now, but there are still some that have been holding their now-grandfathered-in unlimited data plan. Big Red is also getting ready to have the Verizon Edge upgrade plan available. That will arrive on August 25th and as that comes available Verizon has what they are calling a special offer for those who are planning to use Edge and are "concerned about losing their unlimited plan."
Verizon Wireless recently released the DROID ULTRA and DROID MAXX smartphones and it looks like they are both getting updates straight out of the box. This is nothing more than a minor update and will have the handsets jumping to software version 12.7.7. The update doesn't appear to contain any security fixes, which really just goes to say that you don't need to be in any rush to update.
