Verizon has been on a roll lately regarding their updates and continued improvements to their 4G LTE network, and today we have even more good news. Aside from the odd special announcement of Viva Movil this afternoon, we're also learning Verizon Wireless will begin deploying a series of small cells throughout the US later this year. The Verizon Wireless CTIA event has come to an end and while we didn't see any new devices announced, there was some big news for the Latino community. Jennifer Lopez was invited onstage to introduce Viva Movil, which is described as being a Latino-centric mobile carrier. Lopez took to the stage with talk about the Latino population in the US and about the Viva Movil brand.

Verizon HTC One tipped for CTIA event unveiling
There has been plenty of back and forth about whether the HTC One is coming to Verizon Wireless. The most recent rumors surfaced just yesterday and brought talk of a Verizon Wireless branded HTC One with Android 4.2.2. According to that rumor, the Verizon HTC One is currently being tested by HTC reps. While there has yet to be any in-the-wild sightings of the handset, we have been told that Verizon will be announcing the HTC One later today.

Verizon Wireless tops ACSI customer satisfaction survey
Verizon Wireless has taken top honors in a recent American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) survey dealing with wireless service. This survey took a look at the big four carriers, which includes Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T. In addition to overall customer satisfaction in terms of the carriers, the survey took a look at items such as the manufacturers behind the devices.

Verizon Wireless increasing prepaid data allowances
Verizon Wireless introduced a pair of prepaid smartphone plans back in early February. At the time those plans were offering 500MB of data for $60 per month or 2GB of data for $70 per month. Both plans also included unlimited voice minutes and unlimited messaging. Flash forward till today and it looks like Big Red has announced an increase for the data.

Verizon HTC One talk returns as the HTC PN073XX surfaces
A yet to be seen HTC smartphone has recently been spotted in the WiFi certification. This certification filing is showing an HTC device with a model number of PN073XX and as such, it has brought back chatter of a Verizon Wireless branded HTC One. The details from the certification are on the lighter side, however this model number does seem to fit in with the model number from another carrier branded One.

We are starting to see a bit more in terms of using an Android handset in the workplace. While the Android adoption may take some time, we are currently seeing apps that will help to keep your work and personal data seperate. The latest in this bunch has arrived by way of VMware. The app is called WMware Horizon Mobile and the app has been announced for Verizon Wireless users.

Talk of the Verizon HTC One seems to have been a fairly popular topic over the recent weeks. Verizon hasn't offered any announcement and HTC Director of PR Tom Harlin recently said the Droid DNA would continue to serve as the "HTC hero smartphone at Verizon." Putting that aside, Verizon Wireless has recently announced a special offer on the Droid DNA and it has once again brought back chatter about the HTC One.

Motorola introduced a platinum colored DROID RAZR M a few months back. The handset was for Verizon Wireless and was selling exclusively through big box retailer Best Buy. That particular model was a simple color refresh and the handset carried the same specs and $49.99 price tag. Well, flash forward till today and it looks like the DROID RAZR M may soon be getting another color refresh.

AOL and Verizon Wireless have announced a new partnership. This is one that will have the AOL.com portal coming to Verizon Wireless smartphones. In addition to the smartphones, the portal will also be available on "certain" tablets. Verizon hasn't specified which tablets, however they have said it will include some running Android.
