DROID 4 will hit the market for Verizon customers but original leaks suggested a mid December launch that was pushed back at the last minute. Nothing was confirmed so we can't say for sure. Either way we are still waiting and would love to get our hands on one. In the meantime it appears our friends from TechnoBuffalo were able to do just that -- but with a dummy unit that will probably be on store shelves soon.
XOOM launched as the first Honeycomb tablet and had plenty of promise. Sadly the hefty size and bloated Verizon 3G data pricing didn't help its cause. We now have the next-gen Xoom happily named the DROID XYBOARD tablets to see what they learned from their first attempt at a tablet. The XYBOARD has been hanging out with our team and a few Galaxy Nexus smartphones this week and below you'll find our thoughts on this 8.2" Honeycomb device.
Galaxy Nexus -- finally! Everyone that ran out and bought one should be receiving an over the air (OTA) automatic software update almost out of the box. Verizon has provided full update details and the information is available below for those interested in the little update that probably is also the cause of our delays. Though they've been contacting select customers - all Verizon subscribers that fall into this situation are eligible.
DROID XYBOARD 8.2" 4G LTE tablet. Other than the bizarre name you'll quickly notice a few unique things about this slate out of the box. A perfectly sized 8.2" IPS display and some of that Moto Blur UI over Honeycomb to name a few. We have our hands-on video and a few photos below for your enjoyment.
DROID XYTBOARD tablets aren't what you were hoping to buy this holiday season it looks like the sneaky Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE will be headed to Verizon shortly. After hearing nothing since it was announced at IFA, lately we've seen a little stir at the FCC and now it appears to be ready to hit Verizon with 4G LTE on board.
officially announced the new Motorola DROID XYBOARD tablets finally and we are happy to inform everyone that they are in stores and available for purchase right now -- not the 12th like reported by Verizon. After strolling by our local Verizon Store they were out and available to demo and the employee said they are available in stores starting today nationwide. Here's some pictures.
