Samsung wins again — Phoenix Suns partner up to use Galaxy Tab 10.1
Verizon, Samsung and the Phoenix Suns have jointly announced today a partnership that will see the NBA team using the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with Verizon 4G LTE in day-to-day basketball and business operations -- instead of the iPad. Being the first to integrate this type of wireless tablet technology for an entire NBA organization.

The HTC Rezound is set to receive its first major over the air update soon, according to the folks over at Verizon. Verizon offering “Smartphone App Pack” With NFL Premium and more for $12.99
Verizon has just kicked off a new promotion for their subscribers offering what they are calling the "Smartphone App Pack". It sounds like a pretty decent deal at first but now that I've taken a closer look I'm not too impressed. For those that don't want to use the free options like Google Maps Navigator, and Google Voice for voicemail Verizon is offering their own services together with NFL Premium for one low price.

Verizon activating 5 new 4G LTE markets tomorrow
Verizon has continued to update and roll out their 4G LTE markets at a very rapid rate and tomorrow they'll be flipping the switch and giving the green light to 5 new markets. Almost every 2-3 weeks they added a couple markets to their ever expanding list last year and it appears they'll follow the same quick rate of updates in 2012.

CyanogenMod 9 for the Galaxy Nexus may get an LTE toggle

CyanogenMod 9 for the Galaxy Nexus may get an LTE toggle
One of my favorite features of later versions of CyanogenMod is the series of included and customizable toggles built right into the notification drawer. Not only is it convenient as all get out, it saves valuable space on your home screen usually occupied by the default power widget. When the Galaxy Nexus was released for Verizon, more than a few users were disappointed that Ice Cream Sandwich's implementation of 4G LTE blocked previous quick 4G toggles available in the Android Market. At least one developer seems to have found a work-around, and his implementation is currently be considered for inclusion in CyangoenMod 9.

Motorola DROID 4 spotted in the wild, dummy unit looks pretty
We don't really know when the Motorola DROID 4 will hit the market for Verizon customers but original leaks suggested a mid December launch that was pushed back at the last minute. Nothing was confirmed so we can't say for sure. Either way we are still waiting and would love to get our hands on one. In the meantime it appears our friends from TechnoBuffalo were able to do just that -- but with a dummy unit that will probably be on store shelves soon.

Motorola DROID XYBOARD 8.2 Review
Earlier this year Motorola's first tablet the XOOM launched as the first Honeycomb tablet and had plenty of promise. Sadly the hefty size and bloated Verizon 3G data pricing didn't help its cause. We now have the next-gen Xoom happily named the DROID XYBOARD tablets to see what they learned from their first attempt at a tablet. The XYBOARD has been hanging out with our team and a few Galaxy Nexus smartphones this week and below you'll find our thoughts on this 8.2" Honeycomb device.

Verizon 4G LTE hits 11 new cities today, available to over 200 million people
Who wants some 4G LTE to go along with the Galaxy Nexus? In the same fashion as they've done all year Verizon has flipped the switch and gave the green light to 11 new cities to access their 4G LTE spectrum starting today. Verizon's 4G LTE recently celebrated its 1 year birthday and in that short amount of time they've reached almost 200 markets and offer 4G LTE to over 200 million Americans nationwide.
