Confirming that after a few new markets have launched with LTE today, their numbers have reached an all-time high and they are approaching another milestone. As of today Verizon 4G LTE is available in 497 markets across the US.
AT&T as of late and it looks like we now have some news coming from Big Red. In this case, Verizon Wireless has announced their latest round of new and expanded 4G LTE coverage. This latest touches on markets across several states to include California, Iowa, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Today they've confirmed 6 states to receive massive expansions throughout. Their rollout is leading up to matching their 3G coverage across the US and today they are one step closer with huge updates.
Verizon Wireless recently offered some details in terms of where their 4G LTE stands. For example, they noted that the network now covers 473 markets which means it is available for a potential 273.5 million people. They also mentioned that the 4G LTE network is now available for "close to 89 percent" of the US footprint.
