Verizon DROID details leaked, new lineup in the works

Motorola is still in the business despite being thrown around like a ping-pong ball. From Google to Lenovo, Motorola's mobile group is gearing up to announce the rest of the 2015 Motorola DROID collection. In the United States, the DROIDs will work with Verizon only and a series of leaked docs tells us that several Droid models are arriving soon. A device codenamed Clark and with model numbers XT1578 and XT1097 have been spotted, as well as, something codenamed Kinzie for a certain model XT1585.

AT&T, Verizon offer more data in plan promos

Two of the United States’ biggest mobile carriers are stepping up and giving users more data to use on their mobile devices as more and more people get access to LTE connectivity. LTE – popularly known as 4G connectivity (although if we’re being technical, it’s not really 4G, but we’re nitpicking) – is now becoming more and more common in more areas in the US, and it seems a good move for AT&T and Verizon to offer more data in their plans for consumers.

Verizon set to throttle LTE speeds on unlimited data users

Even just the sound of it has an “unfair” aura about it, but this is the news coming from Verizon HQ regarding the future of the users of their 4G data network. To ease congestion on cells that have heavy usage, Verizon is set to throttle (adjust or lower) LTE speeds of the top five percent of heaviest data users on unlimited data plans starting October.

Verizon 4G LTE rumored to hit prepaid this month

While Verizon Wireless prepaid service is a viable option, some may have been turned off due to the lack of 4G LTE speeds. Up until now Verizon has only been offering 4G LTE to postpaid customers, which ultimately means prepaid users have been limited to 3G speeds. But in a bit of hopeful news -- it appears this will soon be changing.

Verizon inks deal to provide 4G LTE and 3G in NYC subway stations

Some of the NYC subway stations already have WiFi and/or cellular service available, however as of today that list will expand to include 3G and 4G LTE from Verizon Wireless. The carrier, along with Transit Wireless has announced that service will be coming "over the next several weeks." Those venturing into the subway with a Verizon device will be able to find coverage in any of the 36 stations that are already online.

Verizon LG G2 confirmed to come soon

LG has just pulled off the covers on much-anticipated G2 smartphone at its LG G2 Day event in New York City. US buyers might not have to wait long to get their hands on LG's newest flagship as the company announced that the G2 will be available on all four major carriers. T-Mobile was the first to confirm it and now Verizon Wireless has also come out to signify their commitment.
