US Cellular shared data pricing revealed

This week brought rumors of US Cellular launching shared data plans. We have yet to hear anything direct from the carrier, however another leak has surfaced regarding those plans and this time around there are some pricing details included. That being said, while not yet confirmed, it does appear as if US Cellular will be launching these plans fairly soon. In the meantime, here are some of the plan highlights.

US Cellular shared data plans expected soon

Verizon Wireless and AT&T both offer shared data plans and it looks like another US-based carrier will soon be following in their footsteps. This latest carrier is US Cellular and while they have yet to offer an official announcement, a leak is suggesting these new plans could arrive next month. The details are not yet complete, but what has been leaked has these plans looking rather similar to Verizon and AT&T.

Moto X pre-orders begin with US Cellular

Motorola unveiled the Moto X smartphone yesterday and as we had learned, the handset is expected to come available with a wide variety of carriers. Motorola did say the price would be $199 for the 16GB model and $249 for the 32GB model, however the carrier specific release dates have yet to be revealed. We are expecting the handset to arrive in late-August, however it looks like US Cellular has since opened up pre-orders.

Moto X leak tips an August 26 release with US Cellular

Motorola was originally expected to have a bit more to say about the Moto X earlier in the month. That was quickly put to the side when Motorola came forward with a flat out denial. And well, as that date has since passed we know it was not to happen. But despite that rumored date not working out as expected, the date related rumors are continuing to come. Enter this latest which has pegged the US Cellular release date as August 26th.

T-Mobile acquires US Cellular AWS Spectrum to further expand LTE reach

T-Mobile is currently in the process of acquiring 10MHz of AWS (Advanced Wireless Services) spectrum from US Cellular. This is said to be a cash deal for $308 million and it will help T-Mobile further expand the reach of their 4G LTE network. This acquisition is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2013 and the spectrum covers some of the Mississippi Valley Region.

ZTE Imperial enters the US Cellular lineup with a penny price tag

US Cellular has officially launched their latest smartphone and while this one is not a screamer in terms of the specs, it does come with a price that is as low as can be without being free. The handset is the ZTE Imperial and US Cellular has it available for just one-penny on a two-year agreement. The Imperial has LTE connectivity and is running Jelly Bean with a 4-inch display.

LG Optimus F7 launches with US Cellular

LG originally announced the Optimus F7 during Mobile World Congress and as of today, the handset has come available by way of US Cellular. The handset is available as of today and it has arrived with a relatively low price point. US Cellular has the Optimus F7 listed at $99.99 on a two-year agreement. For that you will get a device that LG is pushing as being able to offer a “premium user experience and the speed of 4G LTE to a mass audience.”

Kyocera Hydro XTRM set for a May 24th arrival with US Cellular

Kyocera has announced their latest rugged smartphone. This time around the handset is called the Hydro XTRM and it will be heading to US Cellular later this week. Specifically, US Cellular will have the Hydro XTRM available beginning on May 24th. The price should be affordable for most, however the key here is with the handset itself -- the rugged features and overall design.
