ASUS FonePad hits the UK April 26, pre-order Friday for £179.99

The awesome looking ASUS FonePad 7-inch tablet was revealed back at Mobile World Congress in Spain, and ever since then we've been wondering when we can get our own. Mainly because this 7-inch Android 4.2 Jelly Bean tablet runs an Intel processor, and doubles as a smartphone at the same time. Yes, you'll still look ridiculous holding something that big to your ear, but today we learned ASUS will offer it at a pretty competitive price.

EE 4G network speed and capacity will soon be doubled

EE, who happen to be the first (and only) carrier in the UK to offer 4G have recently announced some upgrade plans. The carrier has said they plan to double the speed and capacity of their 4G network. We have yet to see a specific date as to when this will be going live, however those increased speeds should begin arriving during the summer months.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 UK availability begins today

Samsung has announced the immediate availability of the Galaxy Note 8.0 for those in the UK. The one catch with that though, for now the tablet will only be available at one retail location. That spot is the Samsung Experience Store which is located in Westfield Stratford City. Samsung has yet to offer a release date otherwise, however they have said availability in other channels will follow.

Samsung GALAXY S 4 pre-orders now live in the UK

Samsung will be launching the GALAXY S 4 in the UK on April 26. Given we have that date set, it seems only natural that carriers would begin sharing details and begin accepting pre-orders for the handset. Basically, it looks like the GALAXY S 4 will be available with a wide variety of carriers in the UK and as such, that means there are likely some deals to be had. Not to mention, the option to purchase either on, or off-contract.
