And nicely done, unlike the general timeframe those in the US were given, HP has the UK release pegged as being May 1.

Yes, you'll still look ridiculous holding something that big to your ear, but today we learned ASUS will offer it at a pretty competitive price.
EE, who happen to be the first (and only) carrier in the UK to offer 4G have recently announced some upgrade plans. The carrier has said they plan to double the speed and capacity of their 4G network. We have yet to see a specific date as to when this will be going live, however those increased speeds should begin arriving during the summer months.
Samsung has announced the immediate availability of the Galaxy Note 8.0 for those in the UK. The one catch with that though, for now the tablet will only be available at one retail location.
