If you've been intrigued by Motorola's uniquely-styled mid-range phone the MOTOLUXE, and you happen to live in the UK, you're in luck. The company has announced plans to launch the phone in late February in the United Kingdom, with Clove assigning a price point of £21 before taxes (about $340). Toshiba AT200 Excite tablet goes on sale in the UK

OK, so Toshiba's initial Thrive tablet wasn't a world-shattering piece of technological or stylistic innovation. But those of you looking for a stylish entry in the tablet market have one more option today - at least if you live in the United Kingdom. The Toshiba AT200, alternately known as the Excite X10, is now on sale starting at £399 for the 16GB model and an extra fifty quid for the 32GB version.  At 7.7mm thin and weighing just 1.2 pounds, the AT200 is one of the thinnest and lightest 10-inch tablets on the market today. You can pick one up from Carphone Warehouse now, and they should start appearing in retail channels sometime next week.

ADzero phone plays to the eco-friendly crowd with bamboo backing

A lot of companies use sometime dubious "green" marketing to give their products and edge, but in the case of the new ADzero phone, it's hard to argue. The former design project has become a full-fledged phone model, at least in the UK, and is expected to hit the market this year. The phone is made from as many recyclable materials as possible, starting with an all-bamboo body that makes the phone shockingly lightweight yet sturdy. The rest of the manufacturing and design process incorporates as many green initiatives as possible, while still creating a relatively high-end Android smartphone.

Sky Go video streaming app announced for HTC and Samsung phones

Do you live in the UK? Love TV? Jealous of Hulu? (Don't be - we have to pay for it on Android.) Own a recent Samsung or HTC Android phone? Then you're in luck: the other British broadcaster, Sky, has plans to release its Sky Go on select Android devices at the end of February. UK cell phone site 3G broke the news. Unlike most contemporary video streaming apps, the Sky Go app is live TV, letting users choose between 39 different channels at once. Sky Go was previously exclusive to iOS, because Sky hates fun didn't recognize the incredibly growth of the Android platform at the time.

BBC News app updated for Android tablets

Anglophiles have been able to get their British Broadcasting Company News fix on Android for a while now, but if you prefer a larger screen, you were stuck with an upscaled interface on tablets. Until now, that is: the BBC just announced an updated News app that plays nice with Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich tablets. At the moment the app is only available to UK users, but according to the news service the international version will soon be updated as well.

O2 exposes customer phone numbers before plugging security hole [UPDATE]

UK citizens who use O2's wireless network got a nasty shock this morning, when reports around the web claimed that their phone numbers were being exposed to any website they visited from their mobile phones. While not a malicious attack, a setting in O2's network was broadcasting its customers phone number in addition to standard browser data like user agents, device type and screen size. This morning Android phones and other O2 devices stopped broadcasting mobile phone numbers, indicating that the security hole has been patched. O2 still hasn't spoken publicly on the issue.

The new hue will be available for sale in early February at Clove and other phone sellers in its standard unlocked configuration, at the same ~499 GBP total price that the original is currently sold at. There are no current plans for carrier-subsidized versions, though that's certainly possible in the future.
