HTC One X and One S set for pre-order on Vodafone and Three UK

HTC's One series is inching closer, though it seems like it's a lot closer for those across the pond. Customers of British telcos Vodafone and Three can now reserve their very own HTC One X or One S. Both companies are now taking pre-orders for both phones, so whether you want the crazy-powerful One X or the svelte One S, you're covered. Three says that the HTC devices will be available next Wednesday, April 4th, but Vodafone is somewhat mum - we'd expect the phones to be available on both carriers at the same time.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus hits the UK on March 17th

Were you smitten with the low/mid-range Galaxy Ace Plus the moment Samsung showed it off, with a complete lack of pricing or availability? Then prepare to be thrilled, assuming you live in the United Kingdom: the phone will be available at retail starting tomorrow, March 17th. Though Samsung said that the Galaxy Ace Plus would be available at various locations including Vodafone, they were carefully silent on the matter of pricing. Given the price of the former Ace model, something in the  £300-350 range seems likely.

Samsung Galaxy S Advance gets priced and dated in the UK

Do you need something more powerful than the original Samsung Galaxy S, but you're not ready for the big screen of the Galaxy S II? Then you're part of an extremely specific market that Samsung nonetheless hopes to target with the Galaxy S Advance, an upgrade on the original that delivers a faster processor and more contemporary styling. After a few delays, the phone has popped up on UK retailer Clove with an expected ship date of March 26th. The price is £354.00 with taxes for an unlocked phone, making it about $550 USD.

Samsung reaches into the low end with 2.8-inch Galaxy Pocket

Ever wonder what smooshing Android into something the size of a traditional "feature" phone would look like? Gaze upon the Galaxy Pocket, and wonder no more. Samsung's latest budget smartphone features a tiny 2.8-inch screen running (almost surprisingly) Android 2.3 Gingerbread and TouchWiz. The unlocked international phone doesn't have a price or release date yet, but Samsung says that it'll be available in the UK sometime later this year.

Panasonic’s ELUGA Power gets a UK pre-order from Clove

If you're as interested in Panasonic's return to the global smartphone game as we are, then no doubt you're aware of the ELUGA Power, a beefed-up version of their primary ELUGA Android phone with a bigger screen and battery. The device just went up for pre-order at United Kingdom-based electronics retailer Clove, and at present it's set to ship sometime in April. The phone is going for £399 unlocked (about $636 USD) and £478.80 after value-added taxes.

Samsung Galaxy Beam to hit UK this summer

If you hadn't already checked out the Samsung Galaxy Beam, it is Samsung's first device that combines a pico projector into an Android smartphone. Though a mid-range device, it is sure to turn some heads. We've just found out that it should hit the UK this July for £385 ($600). It will initially launch unlocked, but we should see it show up on a few carriers to allow subsidized purchases.

LG Optimus 4X HD coming to the UK in June

Drooling over LG's latest Android flagship? You're not alone. UK retailer Clove likes their gadgets too, but apparently they've got some inside information: they say the LG Optimus 4X HD will hit their shelves in an unlocked version by June. The price is currently listed at £380 before value-added tax. That's just over $600 US, and fairly typical for a UK superphone. All this is subject to change - Clove and other retailers have a history of guessing at release dates, which are prone to unexpected delays in any case. Unfortunately, they also say that the new LG Optimus 3D Max isn't coming along for the ride.

Orange Intel Santa Clara Android phone hands-on

We've seen Intel hardware running Android before, but what Orange has unveiled at Mobile World Congress appears to be a much cleaner, finished product than the prototype we briefly handled at CES. The Santa Clara (codename) device comes without a manufacturer, and that probably means that Intel fabricated it itself to show off its Medfield smartphone platform, an it's headed to the Orange carrier and other parts of Europe "soon". What we saw was an impressive if not earth-shattering demonstration of something that would have seemed impossible a couple of years ago - a standard Android smartphone running on an Intel Atom processor.

Samsung Galaxy Note to show up on the Three UK network

The Samsung Galaxy Note has been an extremely hot topic here in the US as of late, but overseas its been out for quite some time. However, that doesn't mean every carrier is offering it. The Note is set to show up on the Three UK cellular network sometime soon. This was just announced by the carrier themselves, and that they'll be carrying the white version.

LG Prada Phone 3.0 looks good, showcased by Edward Norton and model Daria Werbowy

Surely a smartphone being marketed by PRADA wants to look good. LG and PRADA have teamed up for a third time with their new smartphone the PRADA by LG 3.0 and it is available now in the UK. What better way to show off their fashionable and sexy phone then with a few excellent models and actors. They've done just that and have employed the looks of two well known stars for their new campaign.
