Twitter dropping new encryption project indefinitely

Twitter, who has been at the forefront of protecting our data from the prying eyes of the NSA and other entities, has apparently stopped plans for further safeguarding our messages. A new report suggests that Twitter, which had plans to encrypt private messages via their service, has since dropped those plans altogether. There is no timetable for the project to come back, either.

Twitter testing “Fave People” timeline with Android alpha users

Twitter takes part in the Play Store beta program, and they also have an alpha testing program. While both are open and available for Android users to take part in, we suspect many avoid both and try to stick with the regular stable releases. While the stability of the regular Play Store releases are a perk, those using the alpha and beta builds do get a bit of an advance look. Talon for Twitter and EvolveSMS arrive from Klinker Apps

Klinker Apps, the makers of the Sliding Messaging app have dropped two new additions in the Google Play Store this morning. One of the apps is for Twitter and the other for text messaging. The apps are called Talon for Twitter and EvolveSMS, with the former being $1.99 and the latter being free of charge. Both are sitting at version 1.0 and with support for devices running Android 4.0 or later.
