Open webOS 1.0 ported to Transformer Prime
One hacker has been working hard over the weekend, getting the brand new Open webOS 1.0 running on the Transformer Prime. This weekend, open webOS developer Steven Troughton-Smith - who got the open webOS OpenEmbedded beta running on the same device, remember - managed to get Open webOS 1.0 to boot on the Prime. Even more impressive? Open webOS 1.0 was only released on Friday.

Transformer Prime Jelly Bean rolling out now, delayed for Infinity
We have both good and bad news for ASUS Transformer tablet owners this afternoon. Just as we mentioned yesterday, ASUS has started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to the Transformer Prime earlier than their "within 72 hours" prediction. It's hitting tablets as we speak and brings that awesome Google Now voice search and more to the tablet. Sadly the Infinity TF700 isn't so lucky.

GameStop now offering Android tablets at over 1,600 stores – free games too
Adapt or die is what appears to be the case here with GameStop. Back in late October they started offering Android tablets in-stores along with a few pre-loaded games for free as incentive and apparently that trial run of 200 stores went quite well. GameStop will now be offering multiple tablets like the Transformer Prime and more in over 1,600 stores nationwide.

ASUS Transformer Prime vs shotgun – guess who wins
The ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime is one of the most powerful Android tablets on the market. But despite its robot-inspired name, it can't actual perform feats of incredible strength. It's not more powerful than a locomotive. It can't leap tall buildings in a single bound. And it certainly isn't faster than a speeding bullet - if it was, it might have been able to outrun the ones that a few experimental geeks sent blazing towards it.

Transformer Prime update rolling out – Face unlock not included
Earlier this week ASUS informed everyone that another update would soon be rolling out for the Transformer Prime quad-core tablet. Teasing that it would bring "awesome" features to the device. Today we can confirm the newest release is rolling out to devices as we speak.

Last night we caught wind of an update for the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime that, to ASUS' thinking at least, was going to be "awesome". Today the Italian arm of ASUS spilled the beans on the new features, and while "awesome" is a relative term, there are at least a few new features that Transformer Prime owners will be happy to receive. Chief among the additions in the 9.4.2.21 update is support for Ethernet networking, acheived via a USB converter. Ice Cream Sandwich's Face Unlock feature is now fully supported on the Prime's forward-facing camera.
