IFA 2011 Wrap-Up

As you may already know, we were live and in action this year in Berlin at IFA 2011, and without a doubt it was a year for tablets on the Android front. Samsung, Toshiba, and ViewSonic brought the heat while Lenovo brings on the candy-coated goodness. Then there's what many have considered the superstar of the whole show: the Samsung Galaxy Note; not a smartphone yet not quite a tablet - kind of like the Britney Spears of Android mobile devices, if you will. Toshiba AT200 Official, 10.1-inch display and 7.7mm thin

Toshiba has just made it official. The AT200 is the codename for their brand new ultra-thin Android 3.2 Honeycomb tablet. Could this be the Excite? According to the official press release they've nicely been passing around now the device is on display somewhere at IFA 2011, we can expect this tab to come in at only 7.7mm thin. It is not only lighter, but will also be thinner than the Galaxy Tab 10.1

A few days ago we mentioned a new Toshiba Tablet was on the way but this time around it would be much thinner than the Toshiba Thrive. We saw a few pictures earlier this week but today from IFA the real deal was officially on hand and we have pictures. This is the new ultra-thin Toshiba Excite Tablet.

Details surface on a new ultra-thin Toshiba tablet possibly debuting at IFA

IFA kicks off next week and there may be a cool new tablet from Toshiba to check out there. The tablet is said to be a follow up to the Toshiba Thrive tablet we are already familiar with. The new tablet has surfaced in a spy shot and shows a tablet that is far slimmer than the Thrive. From the leaked photos it looks a lot like the iPad with a metal and glass design that looks very nice.
