Huawei is back, again, with what they're calling the world's thinnest smartphone. Their new Ascend P6 takes the cake.
Huawei had a pretty impressive showing this year at CES. We were live at their press conference where they unveiled two new exciting flagship smartphones. The first being a 6.1-inch Ascend Mate phablet, as well as a few others. Today however new details are surfacing that later this year they'll be taking on Samsung and others with some next-gen smartphones.
Oppo didn't even last a week before somebody swooped in and took their "thinnest smartphone" badge for the finder. The corporate griefer in this case is Chinese manufacturer ZTE, whose new "Athena" smartphone was spotted by Weibo looking positively anorexic. The Athena beats the Finder by a whole .3mm, for a total Z-height of 6.2mm. Pricing and availability are, of course, up in the air.

ETnews, who also reports that the unnamed sources expect the phone to launch in May, probably as an international model. The only solid news concerning a Galaxy S II successor coming from Samsung is that it won't be showing up at Mobile World Congress, as the company is saving the good stuff for its own event at an unspecified date.
Japanese carrier NTT DoCoMo. The 6.7mm Android smartphone will launch in the first quarter of this year.
DROID RAZR was thin then you'll want to take a gander at the new Fujitsu ARROWS ES IS12F smartphone. The RAZR at the thinnest point comes in around 7.1mm but Fujitsu has taken things a step further and this beast measures a paper-thin 6.7mm thick. This phone was first spotted at the FCC back in November, but is now set to hit a few Japanese markets on January 7th.
