Team Carbon themes on sale after a million active downloads

We tend to cover custom ROMs and other mods pretty heavily, but there's an incredibly vibrant theme community around Android. One of its most active participants is Team Carbon, which announced today that its themes for the CyanogenMod (AKA T-Mobile) theme engine have reached a million active users. That's not total downloads, mind you - that's a million people with themes running from three European theme designers. Good on ya, guys!

Google Play Store inverted with a black, blue, or green color theme

Who loves the new Google Play Store, previously known as the Android Market but would like the change the look and feel? We've posted inverted color themes before but today is a lot different. What we have is inverted colors for the Google Play Store in black, blue, pink, cyan and many others. If you like to tweak the look of your Android, these are a great place to start in terms of the Play Store.

Even Windows Mobile users want a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich

You there, with your Samsung Galaxy S II or HTC Sensation! The one wearing a hole in the floor waiting for the Galaxy Nexus to arrive for your country/carrier! Have a little perspective, why don't ya - there are geeks out there that don't even have Android to play with. Of course, being geeks, they're not going to sit there and take it: an enterprising Windows Mobile user over at XDA has created an Ice Cream Sandwich theme (not a ROM) for those poor souls still stuck on WM6.5.

Team Xron’s CM7 dresses up your TouchPad in Honeycomb

Just like the rest of us, the CyanogenMod team doesn't have access to the Honeycomb source code, so for now the best they can do for custom ROMS and the HP TouchPad is Gingerbread. But themers are a crafty bunch, and since CyanogenMod is open sourced, a group calling themselves Team Xron has released a skinned version to at least make you feel like you're using a tablet OS. Users won't have access to Honeycomb apps, but the various customizations do make Gingerbread look pretty slick.

N3xGen is your custom launcher skin database

Android users like to customize their phones. A lot. Not that there's anything wrong with that. And while the more obvious application of this customization fever is a community-authored ROM like CyanogenMod, a less drastic method of sprucing up your phone is a skin for your custom homescreen/launcher. Now there's an easy way to find new ones, with N3xGen Theme Manager.

Inverted Twitter App, Socialize with a Black Color Theme

We all love Twitter right? Well those of you that haven't fully migrated to Google+ of course. Today I have another Android app that has been inverted with a black color theme for you all to enjoy. Now you can tweet, twit, or do whatever it is you do in style with the "Black n Bold" Theme for Twitter. This adds style to Twitter while saving battery life at the same time.

Gmail App Inverted with a Black Color Theme

In the world of Android we all love tweaking and hacking our devices so I figured I'd share this quick little theme with our readers. What we have here is another blacked out app theme but this time it's for Gmail. What we have is the latest version 2.3.5 Gmail that has been inverted to be completely black and fits in nicely with the rest of Android, not to mention could help with battery life.

Google+ App Inverted, Socialize with a Black Color Theme

So far I'm loving Google+ as I'm sure many others are, but I'd prefer the Android app to be in black to go along with the rest of Android. Lucky for you guys those amazing developers over at XDA have themed Google+ and the entire application is now black instead of bright white. Every time G+ gets an update they are quick to theme the new version and post it up so I figured I'd share the newest one with everyone.
