The app is called Theme Creator Beta and as the name suggests, the app is in beta right now. As with any beta software, it might not work perfectly but it should function.

A behind the scenes look at CyanogenMod’s new Theme Engine

Cyanogen Themes app lets you design your dream phone look

Cyanogen, Inc., the company formed from CyanogenMod's core developers, have announced their latest "commercial" endeavor. Following the Nextbit Baton app and service and the partnership with India's Micromax, Cyanogen is revealing its Themes app that will let users of smartphones running Cyanogen OS customize their device to their heart's content and their artistic tastes. There is also the new Themes Studio for uploading and publishing themes to grow a theming community around the Android-based operating system.

Huawei skips digits, Ascend Mate7 slated for Sept. 4

Huawei is jumping over numbers again. While the jump from Honor 3 to Honor 6 was believed to be motivated by the upcoming Apple iPhone 6 and next year's Samsung Galaxy S6, going from Ascend Mate 2 right to Ascend Mate7 is a bit more perplexing. Whatever the Chinese OEM's reasons may be, the Huawei Ascend Mate7 is coming next month at IFA 2014 in Berlin.
