Scout for Android update brings social meet-ups and ETA sharing

TeleNav has rolled out the latest Scout for Android update. This update has already arrived in the Google Play Store and has brought some new features that deal with social and sharing. Or in other words, this update seems to have made it easier to coordinate and share your location and trip details with friends using a feature called OnMyWay.

Popular navigation and maps software provider TeleNav has just announced a few rather interesting developments for their Android and iOS apps. It looks like Telenav Scout will be getting the popular 3D mapping technology for landmarks and major cities, along with many other useful new features. Telenav nets 30 million navigation subscribers

If you're a regular user of Google's built-in Android navigation, you're probably not aware of TeleNav, an alternative available on both Android and iOS. But plenty of others are: the company announced today that it had passed 27 million paying subscribers and 3.3 million free users as well. On Android four versions of TeleNav on offer: the standard app, a tablet version and modified versions specifically for Verizon and T-Mobile. They've also got an HTML5-based web navigation service that can be accessed by apps.

The popular third party location-based navigation and provider TeleNav has just unveiled the full details on their new HTML 5 powered and web-based navigation service. No longer will users need to download an app, or leave the app they are in for turn-by-turn navigation and directions. With Scout for Apps by TeleNav developers can add simple voice-guided navigation services directly into any application, or web site.

Our good pals at TeleNav GPS mapping systems have informed us that there's a new update in town, this one navigating you to better functionality in several bits of the app, this update out now for a handful of T-Mobile devices. The devices that will be affected are the Samsung Vibrant, LG Optimus T, Motorola Defy, Motorola Cliq XT, and T-Mobile Comet. Sprint Kyocera Echo Startup Sequence [EXCLUSIVE]

Whilst having another look at the Kyocera Echo at the Kyocera booth during CTIA 2011, we happened upon a unit that was switched off. TeleNav GPS Navigator 6.2 for Android Live Today

Let's talk about this GPS navigator system here, this app upgrade, but first I've got to let you know that the upgrade to TeleNav GPS Navigator 6.2 is only available today on AT&T accounts. Harsh, I know. This update has a list of upgrades, the key components of which begin with Multiple Route Suggestions - each time you bring up your route (or at least the first time,) you get a max of three different suggestions for ways you might go. Click the one you want and there you have it! Quick Search is the next upgraded feature, the user now able to tap the Quick Search box on the home screen and type a landmark, category, business name, or address, this search now also including predictive search technology! Neato!
