Transformer Pad TF300 is currently in the hands of the FCC, and based on the wireless bands it's equipped with, it's being considered for AT&T's growing LTE network.
we reported on NVIDIA's KAI Platform and that they hoped to bring some $200 Tegra 3 tablets to market soon, but today while listening in on the NVIDIA Analyst Day we learned some good news. NVIDIA isn't just planning cheaper quad-core tablets, they are already in the works and on their way to the market as we speak.
NVIDIA's annual "Analyst Day" we were listening in as Mobile Business Manager Mike Rayfield started talking about the Tegra 3 quad-core processor. What instantly caught our attention is the amount of NVIDIA Tegra 3-powered quad-core smartphones they have coming this year. With the HTC One X already available, they have more coming -- many more.
HTC One X "settle" for a dual-core design when debuting on LTE carriers, simply because the standards for the combination of SoC and radio weren't ready yet. Today NVIDIA has announced that its Icera radio module has been certified for use with AT&T's LTE bands.
Tegra 3 is sitting on top of the Android performance world at the moment, but that doesn't mean that NVIDIA's going to rest on their laurels. Their new Kai strategy hopes to bring quad-core SoC's to the $199 price point or lower, a range typically reserved for "reader tablets" with low specs and even lower expectations. Kai isn't a chip or hardware (that we know of, anyway), it's Nvidia's name for their process of reducing the price of high-performance tablet components.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II for Android. Sonic CD and episode 1 were smashing hits but Episode II looks to be their best yet. Currently only in THD, available for Tegra 3 powered devices this game brings graphics to another level -- again. Check it out after the break.
CTIA 2012, and we couldn't resist taking another peek. The Optimus 4X HD crams the best of LG's mobile technology into a superphone form factor that takes on the likes of the HTC One X, and not just because it's also using an NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. The phone is scheduled for release in South Korea and Europe this summer.
