Mercedes-Benz eyeing Google Glass for a seamless GPS experience

It feels almost like ages ago when GPS was something a regular person wouldn't be able to use. But the meteoric rise of smartphones and tablets have put this technology that was once limited only to vehicles into everyone's hands. Now, German luxury automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz is aiming to integrate this now popular feature to create a better GPS experience both inside and outside a vehicle using Google Glass.

Researchers use urine to power Samsung cell phone

We all have to charge our cell phones on a regular basis, and we all have to, er, relieve ourselves on a regular basis. Perhaps such was the inspiration behind the work of researchers at the The University of the West of England and University of Bristol who have created a means of charging a cell phone using urine. The technology is called "microbial fuel cells," and a search for funding is underway.

Sony Smartwatch 2 release date tipped for September

Late last month the folks from Sony announced their plans to offer a new and improved Sony Smartwatch 2 wearable device with a 1.6-inch display. One that builds on the previous generation. After initial reports suggested a July 15th release date in the UK, today that's been pushed into September.
